A Super-cool, laidback Liverpool Wedding
Chris & Helen got married on 4th August at St Georges Hall in Liverpool followed by a reception at Leaf on Bold Street (erm, who knew that the uber cool cafe bar was hiding that awesome room upstairs btw?!). WHAT A COOL COUPLE. So Cool. Helen went for a loose 60s vibe, arriving at St Georges Hall in a black cab in her beautifully simple and chic knee length dress, 60s inspired hair and beautiful bouquet that included daises.
After the lovely ceremony, they had set aside an hour for me them, myself and Jade Maguire (who second shot for me and was AWESOME) to walk from St Georges Hall, through town up to Leaf and I've never quite had an afternoon at a wedding like it!
Our walk included a stop off for shots in an Irish bar, dancing through roadworks, a pint in a pub followed by a serenade by a dude outside with his guitar and then a wander through China town, stopping by graffiti along the way for some cool shots! I can't tell you how many times we were asked if we were on a photoshoot of it was a real wedding!
Once we got to Leaf, the fun continued with crazy wigs for the guests, even David Bowie (albeit in cardboard cutout form). It was just nonstop laughs and love from start to finish, which radiates from the photos, and my day was rounded off nicely by three emotional and hilarious speeches and a wonderful first dance.
It was so. much. fun!!! Thank you both so much for choosing me to photograph your day - it was a privilege and Jade and I had such a laugh with you!!
